The Ground Floor

The Ground floor is the lowest level of the mill. It is where the flour is collected. The ground flour passes through chutes in the ceiling of this floor from the Millstones, where it can be collected in sacks.

In the ceiling of the ground floor can be found the Great Spur Wheel and the Stones Nuts that power the Millstones. Also on this floor is the Governor and further controls for the milling process.

There are two Doors on this level on opposing sides of the mill. There are also two Fireplaces again on opposing walls.

Lastly there is also an Auxiliary drive from the Spur wheel that powered the Ochre grinder which was situated outside the windows facing the mill lane.
